Young and free. They play, they hide, they seek. They stare, they stand, they see. They live, they dream, they fear. They catch moths in the dark and they bathe in the light. They look through the window, they look at the mirror. They are fresh, they are wise. Inquisitive minds, travelling light. Sometimes we hear them laugh, sometimes we hear them hush. Running away and running around. They pause and they ponder. Their hands full of snails. Their hands full of life. Carefree and untamed, still They wonder and wander. We can't hold them back. The photography of Anna Hurtig whispers stories of childhood, moments reminiscent of our life as a child. We enter their imaginary play, tiptoeing along. We join them in their games, exploring their world. Anna's images exude poetry and candour. They are subtle and sensitive, without being sentimental. They show the joy, without hiding the pain.
