51 Jahre türkische Gastarbeitermigration in Deutschland

Dieser Band knüpft an den vorhergehenden Band zu 50 Jahren türkischer Arbeitsmigration in Deutschland an. Er weist auf die Kontinuität und Prozesshaftigkeit hin, die auch nach dem Jubiläum fortbesteht. In interdisziplinärer Bandbreite widmen sich die einzelnen Beiträge deutsch-türkischen Verhandlungen im wirtschaftlichen und diplomatiehistorischen Kontext, dem scheinbaren Widerspruch zwischen engagierter Literatur und literarischer Ästhetik in der Migrationsliteratur, der Darstellung von Türken und der Türkei in deutschen Lesebüchern, der Gastarbeitermigration als Motiv im türkischen Film, der Theaterarbeit als Raum für Protest sowie kommunikativen Handlungen angesichts der Erfahrung von Marginalisierung.

Autorentext
Dr. Yasemin Dayoglu-Yücel ist DAAD-Lektorin an der Istanbul Universität. Prof. Dr. Michael Hofmann lehrt und forscht an der Universität Paderborn. Prof. Dr. Seyda Ozil (Universität Istanbul) arbeitet als Linguistin schwerpunktmäßig zu deutsch-türkisch-kontrastiven Themen.

This volume follows on from the previous volume on 50 years of Turkish labour migration in Germany. It points out the continuity and processuality that have continued since the anniversary. An interdisciplinary range of contributions looks at German-Turkish negotiations in the context of economic and diplomatic history, the apparent contradiction between committed literature and literary aesthetics in migration literature, the depiction of Turks and Turkey in German reading books, guestworker migration as a motive in Turkish films, theatre work as an arena for protest and communicative actions in the light of the experience of marginalisation.
