The Bible influences in a direct or indirect manner more than half of the people living today Christians, Jews and Moslems. Grabner-Haider examines the Bible especially under cultural and historical aspects. The author focuses on cultural forms, social levels of society, relation of sex, system of government and cultural techniques, world views and moral orientation as perceived through the Bible.
