Søren Rud is Associate Professor of History at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He has published widely on Greenland, colonialism and techniques of governance. Recent publications include 'Policing and Governance in Greenland: Rationalities of police and colonial rule 1860-1953' in Policing in Colonial Empires: Cases, Connections, Boundaries (ca. 18501970).
