Eita Mizuno is a Japanese manga artist whose first series, Spiral: The Bonds of Reasoning, continues to be a fan favorite and has received both the anime treatment and a spin-off manga series. Mizuno is also the artist for the arc of the mega-popular horror mystery series UMINEKO When They Cry Episode 7: Requiem of the Golden Witch. Author Kyo Shirodaira has enjoyed a long and illustrious career in manga with popular series like Spiral: The Bonds of Reasoning and The Record of a Fallen Vampire.

Despite thorough planning and preparation, the offensive against Kanon is not going well. Bruised and broken, Rio, Ryouko, and Kousuke are no closer to reaching Kanon than when they started.
