Gulrü Necipoglu is the Aga Khan Professor of Islamic Art and Architecture and Director of the Aga Khan Program for Islamic Architecture at Harvard University. She is the editor of Muqarnas: An Annual of Islamic Visual Culture and author of Architecture, Ceremonial and Power (1991) and The Topkap Scroll: Geometry and Ornament in Islamic Architecture (1995).
